About InSc – Awards
InSc Awards & Recognitions: Every year InSc issues “Emerging College of the Year Award” under four categories namely Placement, Research, Infrastructure and Academics for Higher Educational Institutes, “Academic Department of the Year Award” for programs (branches/departments) of Educational Institutions, “Principal of the Year” Award for the Principals of the Higher Educational Institutes, “InSc Research Excellence Award / Young Achiever & Researcher Award” to the research scholars, academicians and professionals from industries for their research work published in any International Journals or Conferences and “InSc Best Teacher Award” for teaching professionals for excellence in teaching, "InSc HOD of the Year" for the HOD's of various Academic Departments of Educational Institutes for their excellence in leadership and management, “InSc Student Project of the year” award to the UG/PG students for an academic project.
InSc Research Excellence Award (REA) / Young Researcher Award (YRA) / Young Achiever Award (YAA): InSc Research Excellence Award / Young Researcher Award / Young Achiever Award is to encourage researchers by issuing awards to his/her research paper published in any of the reputed International Journals or conferences. More than 100 research papers from various disciplines will be awarded with the above titles. The selection process and benefits of all the above titles are the same. By default, the award title will be the Research Excellence Award, however Young Achiever Award title will be given to those who prefer it and with below 40 years of age.
InSc Best Teacher Award (BTA) / Academic Excellence Award (AEA): This award is to recognize teaching professionals for excellence in teaching, collaboration with students in research projects, active participation with students in professional activities, good academic record, growth and achievement in his/her area of expertise. Minimum teaching experience must be 2 years and he/she must be presently working professional.
InSC HOD of the Year Award (HYA): InSc HOD of the Year Award is to recognize the HODs of various Academic Departments of Educational Institutes for their excellence in leadership and management. It is based on people (staff) management, financial management, responsibility for research, quality measures to achieve respective Program Outcomes (POs) and Program Educational Objectives(PEOs), and personal specification (Skills, Experience, Research, etc.).
InSc Principal of the Year Award (PYA): InSc recognizes the professional contributions and academic achievements of an individual in the area of education. “Principal of the Year” awards will be honored to the Principals of Higher Education Institutions in recognition of their significant contributions to the institution-building process as illustrious career, role model management academics who is well respected among the community of students, researchers, and faculties.
InSc Student Projects Programme (SPP): The InSc Student Projects Programme is to encourage students by issuing awards to their academic projects and also to provide a platform to publish their project work in an open-access digital library of academic projects.
InSc Awards for Higher Education Institutions: InSc issues the “Emerging College of the Year Award” for Higher Education Institutions as recognition of significant contributions of the institute to the technical society under three categories, namely: Excellent Placements, Academic Excellence, Significant Research, and Good Infrastructure.
InSc Awards for Academic Departments: InSc issues the “Academic Department of the Year Award” for programs (branches/departments) of Engineering Institutions based on academic excellence, research activities, placements, etc.
InSc Awards for School Teachers: The InSc National Award for Teachers is started with the aim of raising the prestige of teachers and giving public recognition to the meritorious services of outstanding teachers working in Primary, Middle, and Higher Secondary Schools. It is issued under two categories: Best School Teachers of India and Best School Principals of the Year. There is no deadline for nomination submission by school teachers.

• A hard copy of the certificate with the respective Award Title and a Memento will be given where the awardee's name and research paper (in the case of REA, YRA, and YAA) details will be mentioned.

• Registered participant's details along with photos will be published in the InSc Yearbook which will be circulated among more than 15,000 subscribers and a soft copy of the yearbook will be given.

• He/She may be invited as a session chair/resource person for InSc events in his/her area of expertise.
Benefits of the Student Projects Programme
• Up to 100 projects will be awarded with the title “Student Project of the Year” www.insc.in/awards
• All the registered projects will be published in “InSc-Digital Library of Academic Projects” www.insc.in/dlap
• Participation Certificate will be given to all the registered team members (Maximum of four students per project).
• Guideship Certificate will be given to the Project guide.
• A department participation certificate will be given if more than 4 teams are registered from the department for this contest.
• A college participation certificate will also be given if more than 20 teams are registered from the college.
Benefits of National Awards for School Teachers
• A hard copy of the certificate with respective Award Title and Brass type Memento will be given where the awardee's name and his/her details will be mentioned.

Benefits of InSc Awards for Higher Education Institutions
• Certificate of Appreciation quoted Emerging Engineering College of the year under the applied category.
• InSc Institute/Department Membership will be given freely which has many more benefits as mentioned in www.insc.in/membership
• MOU with the Institute/Department to establish a Faculty/Student Chapter whose benefits are as mentioned in www.insc.in/chapters. The validity of this MOU is for three years.
• Assistance to conduct National/International conferences (Conditions applied) in the institute including online publication, offline publication along conference kit.
• Assistance to publish technical books under International Publications
• InSc-Editorial Board Membership will be given to all Ph.D holders of the institute along with a unique InSc ID and certificate.
• Online Academic projects database of all the departments through InSc Digital Library of Academic Projects (DLAP) for the period of three years and later renewal is optional. • InSc Professional Membership to all the faculties of the Institute/Department (Only e-Certificate and e-Id card will be issued). Note: In general, individual person membership fee is Rs.2000/-, the Institute membership fee is Rs.50,000/- and the Department membership fee is Rs.15,000/-
• Free indexing of the institute’s National or International conferences research papers (without any restrictions on the number of pages or number of papers) in InSc Journal (www.insc.in/iij) as a special issue. The validity of this option is for two years.
• Two pages for advertisement will be reserved for the institute in InSc YEAR BOOK which will be circulated to more than 15,000 InSc subscribers all over the country.
• The institute can advertise any events that will be organized on InSc departments’ web pages, which have more than one lakh viewers from all over the world in a year.
• Assistance to publish conference proceedings with ISBN (Conditions applied).
• Assistance to publish conference research papers in Scopus Indexed, UGC approved Journals (Conditions applied)
Procedure and documents checklist to apply for the award
Respective Nomination forms must be downloaded at www.insc.in/awards Click on “Nomination forms”. A filled nomination form (handwritten, not typed) along with the documents mentioned in the respective award category checklist must be uploaded through the online submission form available at: www.insc.in/awards Click on “Nomination Submission”.
Note: All respective documents must be zipped into a single file and it has to be uploaded during online form filling.

InSc Research Excellence Award/ Young Researcher Award/ Young Achiever Award: One of his/her best research papers (already published during the past five years) must be submitted by the candidate for the award. Based on the technical weightage of the paper, standards of the publisher, impact factor, citations, etc. awards will be decided by the InSc Review committee.

InSc Principal of the Year Award: The Principal of any Higher Education Institute is eligible for this award with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Principal.

InSc HOD of the Year Award: The Head of the department of any academic department of colleges with a Ph.D can apply for this award with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as HOD.

Student Project Programme: Students (Maximum of four students per project) can submit their final year or pre-final year academic project. The project team leader (student) must apply for the award.

Institution Awards: The institution / Coordinator of the nomination-submitting institution should upload all the necessary supporting documents as proof under the applied category. The documents to be uploaded depend on the category chosen. Supporting documents for all the information mentioned in the nomination form must be given. Institutions can apply for multiple categories but separate nomination forms have to be submitted.
NOTE: There are no charges for nomination submission, If your profile / Work gets selected by our review committee then you will be considered a premium member of INSC with many technical benefits and Services.
Premium membership is issued for the candidates who are awarded the titles Research Excellence, Young Achiever, Young Researcher, Principal of the Year, Best Teacher, and HOD of the Year. Benefits will be the same as those given for INSC Fellow Members. Premium Membership is valid for a lifetime and the registration fee is Rs.5000/-
