About Dr. Surya Narayan Maiti
- A) Served as a full time Lecturer in the Dept. of Commerce, Nabin Chandra College, P.O.-Badarpur, Dist.-Karimganj,
Assam (From-26.10.1987 – 12.07.1991)
Due to extreme terrorism movement by ULFA and BODOLAND Extremists I felt unsafe to survive in Assam and
resigned & came back to home.
- B) There after I joined as an Assistant Teacher in Commerce, Chakdwipa High School (H.S.), Dist. – Purba
Medinipur, W.B. I served there from 08.11.1991 to 07.08.2014 and tried to devote my whole hearted effort for
teaching my students and also took part for the infrastructural development of this institution including cultural
activities of the students as well as the locality. Moreover I worked as an examiner in Accountancy and Business
Organisation subject under West Bengal Council of H.S. Education from 1998 to 2013 also as the scrutinizer.
From my early journey of institutional teaching activities I have been considering this job as my penance of life
instead of as a mere profession.
