About Suchitra Bandyopadhyay

It must be inspiring at the societal end to promote, protect and project the suitable and apt

individuals who are enthusiastic, energetic, innovative and young as they can have a long run

to yield their dreams that has already started blossoming as the evidences in their small

tenure. I have already established my credentials as a teacher which has not only been proved

with the awards I have achieved, but also the results we

(my team) have produced with our students. In my stint of 2 years as a principal of Army

Public School, Kolkata I have uplifted the school into a glory which is not only felt in the

environment but also is proved in all fields in the prerogative of a school, be it academic,

sports or any other extracurricular activities. Under my visionary guidance, the API

(Academic Performance Index) of the school has remarkably improved in 2018 and 2019 in

class X and in the same year in class XII which is the best in the history of the school, so far

since its beginning. In fact, the school has secured 1 st position amongst the APSs in India

large category schools Eastern Command. The school has improved its position in sports

activities too in comparison with the outcomes of previous years, specifically in Volley ball

and Basket ball in girls’ category. Under strict training the quiz team of the school has

emerged the champion under AWES (Army Welfare Education Society) in all over India.

 

Besides the results in academic and other field, the school has improved both structurally and

functionally which has the consequences of different fields as stated above. Establishing the

new primary wing, music room, chess room, renovation of auditorium, creation of science

laboratory and so on, have given a tremendous impetus in the morale of the students and

teachers, both. Thus, in facilitating to provide the infrastructure and imparting training by

utilizing the existing resources, I always try to actively help to build up a character in the

youths and further propagating in nation building. I have successfully knitted the fragmented

team together in such a way that team efforts of the school is simply exemplary which had

been evident in conducting a national event, psychological councillors conclave in Eastern

Command theatre and an international event, Indo-Bangladesh Summit. Both the events

went off flawless and had hailed high in the environment including in several newspapers.

For active contribution, we have been awarded and recognized within and outside the

organization time and again which is already stated in nomination form. Moreover, this

award will not only recognize my activities which will further motivate other budding

principal to work harder but also will be highly encouraging for me to create a new era in the

horizon.
