About Dr. Manas Ranjan Behera

Dr. Manas Ranjan Behera have a diverse work experience of about 13 years in the areas of

public health teaching, research, program implementation and management. He has worked in

various positions primarily with Government, NGOs such as State Health Resource Centre,

Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT), UNAIDS and multiple teaching

institutions. He is currently working as an Associate Professor, School of Public Health, KIIT

University. Prior to join School of Public Health, KIIT University in 2018, he worked as senior

lecturer in an international academic institute in Thailand.

Dr. Manas received his doctorate degree in Public Health major in Public Health Administration

from Mahidol University, Bangkok. He is a veterinary Science graduate with two master’s

degree to his credit – Master of Public Health (MPH) from University of Leeds, UK and Master

of Health Administration (MHA) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Dr.

Manas has also completed certificate programs in ‘Global Health’ from Imperial College,

London (UK), and ‘One Health’ from University of Geneva among others. He has authored

many research papers, 13 published in peer reviewed international journals and received research

grants to his credits. His research interest includes global health, human resources for health, one

health, healthy ageing, injuries and accidents.
