About Dr. Saira Banu
Dr.Saira Banu is a research inclined teaching professional with the university teaching and research experience. Her area of research is to enhance the performance of Voice over the VoIP phones. She has contributed many research papers in the reputed Scopus indexed and Elsevier journals related to Wireless Networks, IoT, UIoT, Mobile application, VoIP, Mobile Spam detection, Network Security and Machine Learning. She has motivated the research interest in students by guiding their projects in the undergraduate and in the post graduate levels. She is serving as one of the director for the IT sector - STARAJ TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD.
Dr.Saira Banu has got more than 15 years of teaching experience and is currently working as a professor in the HKBK college of Engineering , associated with the HKBK group of Institutions in Bangalore, karnataka. She is the first women under graduate, Post graduate and doctorate in her family circle. She started her career as a lecturer in the year 2003 in Crescent Engineering College, Tamil Nadu. She was working as Associate professor in the Research & Development Department of Chitkara University , Punjab. Thus she has got experience in working with different states and easily adoptable to different cultures.
She is passionate about teaching and proficient in developing new lessons & activities to expand learning opportunities. “The Academic Council Of uLektz” have honored Dr. Saira Banu by declaring her as one of the most promising Women educator of Tamil Nadu for the year 2019 .
She is doing a quality contribution to the research filed through conference presentation, guest lectures, chapter contribution to the books, journal publication, authoring the book and patenting the research work. She has filed the patent “SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING REAL-TIME MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION OVER COMMUNICATION CHANNELS” with Application No: 201911040730. Her journal contribution towards spam detection in the VOIP application is well appreciated by the researchers in that field.
She has organized many international and national conferences. She has been in the technical committee and has served as session chair for many international conferences. She has coordinated several workshops, seminars, and faculty development program for the benefit of the students and faculties.
Dr.Saira Banu has an excellent knowledge of subject and also has great practical knowledge. She is expert in providing the real time knowledge about technology. She has been invited as speakers in many technical events. She has participated in curriculum development activities and involved in developing independent study activities.
