About Dr. Ritika Sharma

Dr. Ritika Sharma has completed her PhD in Botany from Guru Nanak Dev University,

Amritsar. During her PhD, she focused on plant stress physiology and examined the

interactive effects of environmental pollutants on plants. She is actively engaged in research

work and has a research experience of six years. Her areas of research are toxicology, aquatic

pollution, phytoremediation stress physiology and ecology. Till date she has published ten

research papers in Journals of International repute with cumulative impact factor 15. She has

also published four book chapters in Pollutants and Protectants: Evaluation and Assessment

Techniques (One as a first author, three as a Co-author). Also she has shared her research

experience in more than 16 national and international cinferences. She has attended several

seminars and workshops in various institutions and state universities. Dr. Ritika Sharma

serves as an honorary reviewer in reputed journals including Acta Physiologiae Plantarum

(Springer), Advances in Science, Technology and Engineering Systems Journal (ASTESJ),

and is also selected as Bentham Science Ambassador in one of the Bentham journals

(Current Protein and Peptide Science). Presently she has applied for various post-doctoral

research fellowships and young scientist projects.
