About Manpreet Sharma

Manpreet Sharma is a PhD research scholar at Department of English, University

of Jammu. Prior to joining department as a research scholar, he has taught in the

same department as lecturer. His MPhil. dissertation and research publications

primarily focus on the socio-psychological issues like alienation, aggression,

deviance and trauma embedded in the contemporary texts of English literature. He

has presented papers in many national and international conferences along with

fifteen publications in reputed journals to his name. Presently he is pursuing his

doctorate on the topic “Living on the Edge: A Psychosocial Study of the Selected

Cancer Autopathographies” in which he intends to understand the experiences

shared by the cancer patients through their autopathographies and suggest the

possible coping mechanism for behavioural change of the cancer patients and their

caregivers in wake of the apparently dreadful disease, for a holistic healing.
