As a teacher, I ensure teaching learning pedagogy not only through ‘chalk and talk’ concept

but beyond that which involves regular field visits, showing films and documentaries to

students so that students can develop sociological insight and get practical exposure to

existing social reality. The relationship between me as teacher and my students is based on

mentor-mentee relation where my students report me about any problem that they face in the

University or in their personal lives.

My hobbies include drawing, digital painting, reading Indian story books, cooking Bengali

cuisines, singing and even dancing. I am a trained Bharat Natyam and Creative dancer who

have participated in cultural programs of one’s school and colleges and also in the University

where I am presently employed. Though I am on the verge of achieving my ambition after the

completion of PhD, yet I aspire to be a good Human Being by helping people irrespective of

their caste, class, sex, creed, religion, and ethnicity. Moreover, I believe in serving Humanity

since the task of Sociology is to study society free from the value orientations of individuals.
