About Dr. Usha Shankar

Dr. Usha D/O Shankar was born in poor background family at Raichur on July 10,

1988, but she grew up in Chittapur, Kalaburagi District. She had completed her primary and

secondary school education at N. E. S. High School and N. E. S. PU College, Chittapur in the

years 2005 and 2008 with percentage 79.68% and 57%, respectively. She got her B.Sc in

Mathematics, Physics and Electronics from Veeramma Gangasiri Women’s College

Kalaburagi affiliated to Women’s University, Bijapur in the year 2011 with percentage

86.14%. She got 10th Rank to Women’s University, Bijapur among the successful candidates

in B.Sc. Also, she had completed M.Sc in Mathematics from Gulbarga University,

Kalaburagi with 90.33% and got Second Rank to Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi in the year

  1. Immediately after M.Sc in Mathematics, She joined Shetty Institute of Technology,

Kalaburagi for teaching and she served as an Assistant Professor for one year eight months.

Further, she had completed her PhD in Fluid Dynamics with specialization in Lubrication

Theory in the year 2020 from Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi. Currently, Dr. Usha is

working as Assistant Administration in the Department of Karnataka Power Corporation

Limited, Raichur Thermal Power Station, Shaktinagar, Raichur, Karnataka, India.

Also, she had published good number of research articles in the high impact

international journals like The European Physical Journal Plus, Journal of Central South

University, Sadhana, Heat Transfer-Asian Research, Nonlinear Engineering: Modeling and

Application, Journal of Nanofluids etc.,. Further, she had attended and presented research

papers in national and international conferences and workshops and she received “Best Paper

Presentation Award” in ICRAAS-2019 International Conference Reva University, Bangalore.

Also, she had sufficient knowledge in different numerical methods like “Runge-Kutta

method, Shooting technique, bvp4c Matlab function, Homotopy analysis method and

Perturbation method along with computing softwares like Matlab, Mathematica, Origin.
