About Durga Rama Pavan Vadapalli
Durga Rama Pavan Vadapalli has completed his Bachelor of Science from Andhra
University, Visakhapatnam in 2011, Master of Science (Technology) in Engineering Physics
from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal in 2014 with Photonics as specialization.
He later worked as a faculty in Physics for two academic years. Mr. Vadapalli was the course
topper at NIT Warangal and as a result, he received the prestigious INSPIRE fellowship from the
Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for pursuing his doctoral course.
With this fellowship, he again joined back at NIT Warangal in 2016.
Mr. Vadapalli works in the area of Optics with a specialization in Photonic Crystals for slow
light applications. To date, he has attended many international and national conferences and has
received awards like best paper award, travel awards for attending conferences. He has received
travel awards from SPIE, OSA, and JSAP for attending conferences in Washington, USA in
2017, San Diego, USA in 2018, Nagoya, Japan in 2018, and Toyama, Japan in 2019 and he has
received best oral presentation and best poster awards. Currently, he is working as a Senior
Research Fellow under the INSPIRE fellowship at the Department of Physics, NIT Warangal.
