About Dr.  Rajesh Kumar Sighal

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singhal is currently working as a scientist (Division of Crop Improvement)

with the ICAR-Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi (U.P) India. He has six

year experience in different area of Plant Physiological research aspects such as drought stress

tolerance in rice and wheat crop, seed priming, artificial night light pollution, root physiology,

and stress phenotyping and crop improvements in different fodder crops. He has published more

than 15 research paper in national and international journals having more than 3 I.F and has

several chapters to his credit with reputed publishers such as Taylor & Francis and Springer and

currently working on more than 10 manuscripts. In addition he has published a competitive

preparation book “A quick approach to Plant Physiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology” with

Jain Brothers New Delhi and working with 2 new books in plant physiological aspects. Also, Dr.

Singhal has received National Talent Scholarship (NTS), Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and

Senior Research Fellowship during under-graduation, post-graduation and Ph.D Programme

awarded by Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) India. Also, he has attended more

than 10 national and international conferences, training and workshops. He is also member of

editorial team in Journal of Botanical Research.
