About Dr. Peketi Bhushanavathi
I am Dr. P. Bhushanavathi working in St. Joseph’s College for Women (A) in the department of Chemistry since 1993. I completed my M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. from reputed universities.
I am also a recipient of national and Hindi scholarships. I have more than 26 years of
teaching and 8 years of research experience. I established Chemistry Research lab with UGC funds in the college and also completed UGC sponsored minor research project worth of 4 lakhs and 60 thousand rupees. I have administrative experience also; some of the administrative positions include Controller of exams, IQAC coordinator, Nodal officer NIRF, Assistant controller of exams, Chief Superintendent for competitive exams etc. I have been member in many professional bodies. I authored one book and contributed chapters in two books. I published more than 28 papers in national and international journals. I have been resource speaker in many academic forums. I presented papers in more than 40 national and international conferences and seminars. I attended for more than 11 refresher courses and training programmes. I have been a member in the organizing committee for 6 conferences. I attended for more than 55 State level, National level and International level conferences, seminars and workshops. I always take an active role in the success of my students. I always welcome them through orientation in the beginning of academic year. I take them for study trips and encourage them to collaborate with each other and support each other through the peer teaching.
