About Dr. Apourv Pant

Dr. Apourv Pant was born in Dehradun. He did his B.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand (A Central University) in 2011 and M.Sc. degree in Environmental Sciences in 2013 with distinction from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India in 2013. He is awarded Ph.D. degree in Environmental Science with minor in Microbiology from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand in 2018. He received GBPUAT University merit scholarship during Ph.D. Program. He has published several research papers in International and National journals, and written book and book chapters’ in various journals and also published abstracts in several national and international seminars and conferences. He has participated in several National and International seminars. He is also life memberships in different professional societies and journals (reviewer in IJAS). He has also awarded scholarship in BSc., MSc and PhD throughout his carrier. He has studied at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO Dehradun, as a Post graduate student (PGD). He has also done online workshops from ISRO in remote sensing and its applications. He has been actively involved in college societies, and served as general secretary and president of Science & Humanities society, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar. He is also actively involved in several sports events in college levels. 

He has worked in Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun as a senior project fellow in National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Ministry of Environment and Forestry project, as an ecotoxicology expert. Currently he is working as Research Associate in department of Environmental Hydrology Division, National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee in “leachate modeling and ground water pollution control” project, Ministry of Jal Shakti and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India.
