About Dr. Sourav Maiti
Dr Sourav Maiti is a dynamic and academically sound young professional Clinical Microbiologist with technological fluency. He is currently heading the Department of Clinical Microbiology & Infection Control at Institute of Neurosciences Kolkata, a premier neuroscience centre. He is a CAHO-certified trainer in Antimicrobial Stewardship. He is a Life Member of HISI and IAMM. He is the proud mentor of the NAMASKAR drive which has acclaimed praise of CDC. He received Quality Council of India’s Quality Month award in 2017 & 2019. He has extensive experience with neuroinfectious diseases, infection control, Leishmaniasis, Cryptococcosis. He has numerous cited publications involving Candida auris, CNS TB, Breast Actinomycosis and healthcare- associated infections. He was the Indian Academy of Paediatrics Quiz champion. He has received IAMM best oral paper award. He has training from London School of Tropical Medicine and University of Dundee, UK for Antimicrobial resistance and stewardship. His working field includes pharmacoeconomics & outcome research methods, SPSS & R, Practical Risk assessment, autoimmune testing, sterilization & disinfection and sequencing. He is also NABH counselor and NABL auditor. He has received appreciation for his microscopic photography skill from Nikon. He has completed training on Online Marketing (Indian School of Business), Advanced Clinical Immunology (FOCIS-The Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies) & FDA Good Clinical Practice (SBIA, FDA).
