Ms.Priya Magesh , Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Psychology, Madras School of Social Work , is an enterprising and dynamic prospect with fine credentials. Her career objective is to expose her knowledge, skills, commitment and experience in counselling and research that build on her skills with diligence, highly persuaded and motivated for teaching profession and to enhance her counseling skills, professional knowledge and her passion for research in the field of health psychology.
She holds M.Sc and M.Phil. degrees in Psychology and M.S degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy Her vital area of interest includes child mental health and adolescent problems, human resource management, cognitive function in clinical population and psychological problems in women.
Her core competencies and strengths are good analytical and problem-solving skills, multi-tasking, ability to jell with a team and work under highly stressful conditions, good communication and interpersonal skills. She has participated in many internships programmes and published 23 research papers in reputed journals and presented 6 research papers in various national and international conferences were clinching evidence that she has a magnificent array of accomplishments under her belt.
