About Dr. Mohamed Ahmed El-Esawi
Dr. Mohamed Ahmed El-Esawi is an Associate Professor of Molecular Genetics at Faculty of Science, Tanta University in Egypt. Dr. Mohamed El-Esawi has been awarded the First Class Excellence Medal from the President of Egypt and the International Obada Prize for the Year 2020 granted by African Academy of Sciences. In addition, Dr. Mohamed El-Esawi is the winner of the First Place Award (Gold Medal) in the Competition of the Best and Ideal University Staff Member in the Egyptian Universities in February 2020. Dr. Mohamed El-Esawi has also been awarded the First State Encouragement Award in the Field of Biological Sciences for the Year 2018 granted by the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and he is also an awardee of Prof. Ekram Abdel-Salam Award in Genetics for the Year 2018 granted by Cairo University in Egypt, and Prof. Fouad Radwan Elfeky Award in the Field of Crops Research for the Year 2018 granted by the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. Moreover, he was awarded some prestigious international awards in Austria, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Dr. Mohamed El-Esawi has received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Tanta University in Egypt, and his PhD in Molecular
Genetics from Dublin Institute of Technology, Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) in Ireland. Afterwards, Dr. El-Esawi joined various highly ranked universities worldwide to conduct high impact postdoctoral research works, such as the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, the University of Sorbonne in France and Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium. Dr. El- Esawi has authored various international publications including peer-reviewed articles, books and book chapters. He is currently leading a successful international team of researchers in various projects in the field of biological sciences, molecular genetics, molecular physiology, developmental biology, molecular biology and bioinformatics. He is also a peer reviewer for 80 international peer-reviewed journals, part of the Editorial Board of 30 international journals, and a member of more than 20 international scientific societies and organizations. He has given numerous talks at more than 60 conferences, meetings, and workshops held in highly regarded institutions nationally and internationally. He was granted several awards and funds from international organizations including ASRT, DAFF, IRO, COST.
