About Dr. Shan Eugene Palakkal
Dr. Shan is a multifaceted prolific writer. She has obtained her Master’s Degree in History from the University of Madras, M.Phil and Doctorate in History from the University of Kerala. She has specialised herself in the field of Human Rights, Tribal Studies. She has been a UGC (Minor Research Project) Fellow in the Department of Indian History, University of Madras. She is presently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, Stella Maris College (A), Chennai since 2010, prior to which she was serving in Union Christian College, Aluva and Government Law College, Ernakulam (Kerala). She is a life member of National, Regional and State level professional bodies of History. Adding to her credentials, she is also a regular contributor to various prestigious Historical journals and Books and has presented more than 30 papers in National and International Conferences. Her areas of Interest are Tourism, Heritage and Archaeology, Tribal Studies, Ancient and Medieval Indian History, Human rights, Cultural History, Historical Novels.
