About Dr. Diganta Halder
Noted Educationist and Sociologist, Dr Diganta Halder, former Principal, Assam Rifles Public School, Shillong and presently, Principal, Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati (Sarala Birla Group of Schools) worked extensively in the area of women’s studies at the rural segments of Meghalaya. His research findings earned high approval and are extensively used as valuable references for research works at the Universities of India. He has a teaching and administrative career of over 30 years. Dr Diganta Halder earned prominence as a writer. His writings are mostly based on contemporary sociological issues that are published in different newspapers, magazines, scientific journals etc. of repute. visionary and a philanthropist, Dr Diganta Halder, with his conscientious efforts leaves no stone unturned to carry forward the beacon of the Sarala Birla Group of Schools to even greater heights.
Besides being a CBSE Practical Examiner at the All India Senior School Certificate Examination, Dr Diganta Halder is also a Head Examiner of Sociology and a Member of the elite group of experts in India for finalization of Sociology marking schemes for the CBSE.
