About Anu B
I pursued BBA. LLB (Hons), five year integrated course from School of Legal Studies
Cochin University of Science and Technology. Since the law school is research
oriented, my inclination towards research was smooth. I published in several journals
of national law schools, ministries and involves myself in policy making in New
Education Policy by MHRD from 2012.
In the penultimate year, I found myself comfortable with shipping laws and hence
started my career at V. J. Mathew & Co. International Law Firm specialized law firm in Maritime Law, at its office in Cochin. In the time being, I realized that concentrating in a particular law will definitely shrink my scope. I was fortunate to appear several cases on ship arrest, maritime liens and claims across the coastal states. With a view to expose myself to different laws extensively, I was appointed as
Associate and later as Senior Associate at Singhania & Co. LLP at Bangalore where I got multi-colored opportunities in various laws especially in corporate law and policy making. There, I was exposed to IP filings, infringement cases, competition issues, consumer cases, privacy issues and maritime matters.
In order to inculcate my knowledge on the same, I pursued Professional course on
Corporate Social Responsibility and American Government from Harvard Law
School and University of Pennsylvania. In the meantime, I recognized my interest
towards Intellectual Property and pursued courses on General IP and Patent
Cooperation Treaty. Further I did LLM (Corporate & Cyber Law) from School of Law, Singhania University, Rajasthan.
So, I recognized that I am keen in maintaining balance between litigation and
research. Even when I was attached to litigation there, my interest for research and
publication has never faded.
As time flies, I decided to shift to New Delhi and commence my practice at the
Supreme Court of India. I attached at to my senior’s office there. Later in March this
year, I am appointed as Partner at Outsay Legal.
