About Dr. C S Ravichandran

Dr. C S Ravichandran is currently working as Professor in Electrical and Electronics
Engineering Department at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. He completed his B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shanmugha College of Engineering (Sastra University), Thanjavur (Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli) in the year 1989. He completed M.E in Power Systems from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli) in the year 1993. He completed Ph.D. (Control systems) from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore in Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in the year 2008. He is a life member of ISTE, IE (India). He is a well experienced faculty with 28 years of teaching and 2.5 years of industrial experience. Under his guidance, 15 research scholars have been awarded Ph.D. degree in various fields including Power systems, Mobile Networks, Advance filtering techniques, CDMA, VLSI and Multilevel Inverters. He is currently guiding 2 full-time Ph.D. Scholars and 4 part-time Ph.D. Scholars. The total Google scholar citations for his publications are 340, h-index is 9 and i10- index is 7. He has filed 4 Patents and 3 Copyrights to his credit. He has published 100 papers in reputed International journals such as Springer, Elsevier etc. He
has also published 53 National and International Conference papers. His publication includes 54 Scopus, 13 Web of Science, 2 ICI papers in referred International & National Journals. He has received 4 awards for best paper publication. He has organized many National Conferences, FDPs, Workshops and seminars.
His domain of research interests includes Power Systems, Power Electronics and Control Systems. He is a peer reviewer in four International and one National Journals. He has organized and attended various FDPs, Workshops, Seminars and short-term courses in his area of expertise. He has been working to strengthen the institution in terms of expanding infrastructure facilities, class room teaching, and the overall attitude of the institution. Integrating positive attitude with hard work and honesty is the key behind success; he ensures the career objectives of all our students to meet through quality value based technical education.
