About Hanumant Prakash Deshmukh

Namaste. I am Hanumant Prakash Deshmukh , working as PGT- ENGLISH at JSPM’s Prodigy Public School, Pune. I belong to Pune, the cultural capital of Maharashtra. My upbringing was done in rural, suburban and urban area as well so I am well acquainted with the root method of farming to tech savvy IT hubs.

M.A.B.Ed. DSM, CPCT is my academic and professional qualification. I am a self-directed, action oriented professional who believes in lifelong learning. The vision for the students which I carried through various activities and projects for the language subject is ‘To make students’ knowledge worthy’.

I have been in this profession for last 13 and half years. I am the recipient of ‘Asset of The School’ Award.I am an organized professional with proven teaching, guidance, and counseling skills. My journey as a teacher started with State board school and lasted for only two years. Then switching to CBSE, I have been continuing till the date. A variety of students- day schools, day- boarding schools, and residential schools offered me a chance to observe students very closely. The school children from some of the remotest region of Maharashtra were too curious to learn and the proper exposure to the required career mark was offered to them. Working through the educational institutes run by Govt. of India, enhanced my teaching experience as a whole. It was not only teaching curriculum but also imbibing good human values among the students and nurturing them to follow a path where but they will feel proud on themselves, their society and their Nation. Students express their learning through various ways, So I provided a different kinds of platforms to them for Self Learning, Learning with peers, Group discussion, field trips, excursions, exhibitions and various scholastic and co- scholastic competitions, seminars, webinars etc. LSRW was the traditional method, I added ‘C’(Communication) and ‘GD’ (Group Discussion) into it and carried out to secondary and higher secondary section. The execution of the curriculum is kept flexible with flexible approach so all types of learners are included. Role play, dramatization, dramatized reading, poetry reading with proper pauses, Project based learning enriched students ability to learn to create desired effect. I believe in maximum participation of the children in learning. I am committed to create classroom atmosphere that is stimulating and encouraging to students. I am skilled in adapting to student’s diverse learning styles and integrating relevant technology to support classroom instruction and activities. Most of the classes are conducted outdoors, in the company of nature enriching learning experience. The students’ perspective gives me a guideline as how to wheel my subject and content. As an Academic Coordinator for three years, I groomed my students and the institute with various projects and proven abilities in problem solving and people management (the source of great value) and motivation.

This administrative venture led my interpersonal and communication skills to foster meaningful relationship with parents, staff and administration. I counsel students for behavioral or academic problems as well as for career guidance. We, in the 21st century are experiencing a drastic and unexpected change in every aspect of life including education. The new methodology with upcoming National Policy of Education to be implemented in next few months, we need to gear up ourselves for tech savvy world and working teaching ideologies. There will be very much give and take as well as ‘giveaways’ and ‘takeaways’ going to happen in the field of education. It’s the ownership of students; learning. It’s not the outcome but the process of learning that matters. Let this process be made interesting for learners as well as facilitators.
