I am a plant Biotechnologist and having keen interest in molecular mechanisms of plants specially who the plants deal with stresses (biotic as well as abiotic). During my research in Ph.D. I have revealed molecules which play vital role to provide signals to plants’ root to avoid high concentration of from heavy metals in the soil. It was revealed that an important transcription factor regulates the root growth depending on the concentration of heavy metals (Khare et al., 2017, doi: 10.1111/nph.14242). Another project, it was revealed that ABC transporter (ABCG34) exports camalexin to leaf surface when attached by fungal pathogen to defend the plants (Khare et al., 2017, https://doi.org/10.1073/pnas.1702259114). Currently, I am working as assistant professor, Biotechnology Department of Bennett University. In Bennett University, I am working on the production of biotherapeutics in plants. I would be happy to get interested research scholars in my research team.
