About Eijaz Ahmed Bhat
My name is Dr Eijaz Ahmed Bhat; I was born and grew up in Kenihama, Srinagar, Kashmir. Like thesunshine here, I am an extrovert and optimistic person who always bring happiness to people around me.My personality helps me establish a lot of friendship. My friends see me as an active and energeticperson. In my leisure time, I like to go swimming, get exercise and go to movies with my friends. Inaddition, my friends and I usually discuss class work and study together a lot and by so doing, weencourage each other. About my family, I was brought up in a joint family, family of eight members, myparents, grandparents, uncles, me and my elder sister. I was the elder one in my family. My parents didnot receive higher education formally, but they always share with us the wisdom of life that cannot befound in textbooks, such as how to be a better person, how to lead a better life, and how to resolve adifficult problem. My parents love us very much; they teach us to think independently and allow us makeour own decisions. Then I decided to study PhD aboard. I went South Korea to pursue my graduatedegree and I was selected in Yeungnam university post graduate scholarship (YUPGS), and this verydecision is highly supported by my parents.I started my schooling when I was 3 years old. I went to kindergarten through KG grade. My life was on asmooth track as it was full of family and friends. It was the year of 2005, the most memorable and excitingyear of my life as I got selected in Fayaz Educational institute, Faiz Abad, Nowgam, Jammu and Kashmir.It is one of the best schools with its prominent teaching staff and faculty members. There I mostly was notserious about my studies. I had never maintained notebook, every day I went school without doing anyschool homework. My teachers were confused as I neither used to maintain notebook nor I was doing myhome work sincerely, but my score in every exam either class test or main test remained high specially inMath, English and Urdu. During exam times I had never prepared my exams according to my syllabus. Imostly liked to enjoy during school time.Many people have influenced me during my life. The wonderful people that have had a special effect onme are my father and sister. Both have played a great role in my life. It was only my father who gained myinterest towards my studies. The reason behind high score in Math, English and Urdu was only due to myfather. At every evenings and Sundays my father prepares wonderful and interesting questions related tomath and English, some of them were related to my syllabus but most of them were for developing mymental ability. During a week I at least solve 100 questions and lots of questions like multiplication,division, subtraction and addition. I remember the day when next day my exam was in BODMAS I had notunderstood it in school. It took whole day to my father to make me understand how to solve questionsbased on BODMAS, and till date I remember BODMAS.My father’s hard work to taught math in a play way method paid off when I got serious about my studies inclass 8 th and took math as a major subject in my intermediate. I scored highest marks in Biology at myhigher secondary school. Due to my highest marks in biology, I got selected for M.sc in Aligarh MuslimUniversity (Central University). I and was the first in our area to got selection in such central university,and it was first time I lived in hostel life. Masters was a wonderful, great and precious time for me. Aftercompleting Masters I got selection in PhD in Yeungnam University, South Korea. I achieved many awardsin sports and social work, and was among top three students .I got interested in structural biology duringmy masters degree. Now currently I am working as a post doctoral fellow in Zhejiang university, China.
