About  Dr.Luqman Jameel

Dr.Luqman Jameel Rather is currently working as senior visiting scholar at the College
of Textile and Garments, Chongqing, China with Prof. Qing Li. He earned his doctorate degree in Organic Chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India in 2017. He has pursued his masters in Chemistry in 2010 from University of Kashmir, Srinagar, India. He has qualified CSIR-NET in December 2011. Recently, Dr.Luqman has been awarded with honorary Young Scientist Award; through National Agriculture Development Co-operative Ltd. Established under Self Reliant Co-operative Act, 1999; Under Government Control (Ministry of Cooperatives) (Registration No: RCS/JK/2234-Agri). Currently, he is an active member of many research organizations, takes part in organizing international and national level
conferences and is serving reviewer of several scientific journals. His research is focused on functional finishing of textile materials (Antimicrobial, Antifungal, UV Protective, Insect Repellant, Flame Retardant, Antioxidant, etc) along with the thermodynamic and kinetic adsorption studies of natural colorants on wool fiber. His research field also extends in the field
of nanoparticle-biopolymer (Ag nanoparticle-chitosan, Ag nanopartcle-cyclodextrin, Cellulose-nanoparticle-textile blend) composite finishing of textile substrate. Based on his research interests, he has been able to publish 45 research publications in high impact scientific journals of international repute.
