About Dr. Niraj Kumar Tripathi 

Dr. Niraj Kumar Tripathi is a biotechnologist and working as a Research Associate at
Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University, Jabalpur. He has extensive molecular research background in the field of Plant Biotechnology. His special interest lies in crop improvement as well as in conservation of plant genetic resources. He is a life member of The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Society for Advancement of Natural Resins and Gums and Mahakaushal Vigyan Parishad (M.P). He is equally passionate and is actively involved in molecular characterization and conservation of endangered medicinally important plant species. He has gained molecular experiences related to crop improvement. For the past 12 years, his work exclusively focused on molecular characterization of plant genetic resources, gene specific marker identification, development of molecular markers and molecular breeding.
He has developed microsatellite markers based tools for discrimination and
authentication of crop varieties. The aim of the development of this tool is to provide an efficient and effective platform to the intellectual property rights. Concurrently, he is also working towards providing supports to the postgraduate and doctoral students working in the field of molecular breeding and plant biotechnology. He has more than 60 scientific research papers published in the reputed International and National Journals and conferences. He has filed more than 10 patents based on different inventions.
