About Dhiman Halder

Myself, Mr. Dhiman Halder, Bioanalytical Head of TAAB Biostudy Services, Jadavpur,
Kolkata, India, am currently pursuing my Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.
Throughout my 12 years research career I mainly contemplated in the bioanalytical
laboratory research work, primarily focused on bioanalytical method development and
validation.
In addition, I have developed expertise in the application of quantification of drugs,
metabolites, and pharmaceuticals by LC-MS/MS (API-2000, API-4000, and API-4000 Q-TRAP) in various biological matrixes. For the last 12 years, I have developed 250
bioanalytical methods to conduct bioavailability/bioequivalence studies by using HPLC and as well as modern sophisticated instruments LC-MS/MS. During this journey, I have developed an interest in several areas like pharmacokinetic variables, bioavailability active
drugs, statistical analysis, interpretation, and novel analytical technique development by LC- MS/MS and HPLC. In my own credit, I have also published 12 articles in a national and international peer-reviewed journal and attended and presented 6 papers and abstracts in national and international seminars and conferences.
In continuation of my present work, I want to carry out several critical research
experimentation based on pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of novel drugs. We are
preparing ourselves to enhance our research potential to investigate a comprehensive study on new chemical entities and their active metabolites in the biological matrix by using LC-
MS/MS. In addition, our experiment will find new horizons in the field of the viability of concomitant drug application to evaluate the preclinical study, drug-drug interaction, and
toxicokinetic study. There are some special research areas that our research team is highly interested to explore include analysis of tissue distribution of drugs and blood dry spot methods for the determination of metabolic disorders in neonates by LC-MS/MS. Our future scientific research work will be designed to enlighten new areas in the analysis of biomolecules, especially proteins, peptides analysis, and nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) by using modern instruments like MALDI-TOF and Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance
(FT-ICR or FT-MS), etc.
Furthermore, I would like to extend my thanks to InSc for selecting my comprehensive
research work for “InSc Young Achiever Award” entitled “LC-MS/MS Determination Of
4-Hydroxynimesulide, An Active Metabolite of Nimesulide and Application to
Bioequivalence Study in Indian Subjects”. This will be an indefinite encouragement for my engagement towards more rational novel research works. I would like to thank and pay heartiest gratitude to my co-researchers, teacher’s guides, and seniors.
