About Arghyadeep Bhattacharjee

I am a Microbiologist and have completed my graduation in Microbiologist from Barrackpore RastraguruSurendranath College under West Bengal State University and Postgraduation from St. Xavier’s College under University of Calcutta. At present, I am undergoing my doctoral study at the Department of Biotechnology of National Institute of Technology, Durgapur under the supervision of Dr.Oindrila Mukherjee. I have worked as a Summer Research Fellow on
“Identification, Isolation and Cloning of pre-miR72 to investigate its function in Solanum tuberosum” at Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Pune. During my postgraduation, I have worked on the “Bioremediation of tannery effluents by a microbial consortium” in collaboration with Bantala leather complex and have also undertaken various minor projects. I have worked on Ministry of AYUSH & CCRH, Govt of India sponsored project entitled “Modulation of different signaling pathways by Atropa belladonna and its active components in Japanese Encephalitis virus infected chick embryo” as a Junior Research Fellow at Peerless Hospital & B.K Roy Research Centre and Dr. Anjali Chatterjee Regional Research
Institute, Kolkata. During this long journey, I have published 6 research papers in different international peer reviewed journals. I have been awarded with “Biswa Bangla Somman 2018” by Department of Science & Technology & Biotechnology, Govt of West Bengal for outstanding
paper in Environmental Science as well as many other prestigious state level and national level awards. I have received the prestigious travel grant by International Society for Antiviral Research, USA for my research on Japanese Encephalitis virus. I have been the Annual Member of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM), Young Scientist member of European Society of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious disease (ESCMID) as well as Life Member of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA).
