About Dr. Amit T. Adsu
As a Molecular Plant Breeder with a background of Genetics and Plant Breeding, After successful completion of Graduation in Agriculture at VNMKV, Parbhani, in June 2009 &post graduation at
PDKV, Akola, Maharashtra in October 2011. During post graduation research works on “Studies on genetic variability and diversity in SDG and fatty acid profile in linseed”. Moreover, to identity high Omega-3 fatty acid and SDG (antioxidant) in linseed genotypes and their correlation coefficient for breeding programme. I also completed Ph.D. at MPKV, Rahuri, Ahmednagar in October 2016, during doctoral program research topic on “Molecular Marker for Seed longevity related traits in Soybean”.
Moreover, seed longevity trait of soybean genotype and their subsequent crosses in order to identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs) by using SSR marker during bulk segregation analysis (BSA) analysis in F2 segregation population. After completion of doctoral program continuing in-service research worked at
Pulses Improvement Project, MPKV, Rahuri, on “Widening genetic base through pre breeding for the development of high yielding cultivars of kabuli chickpea” under the DAC-ICARDA-ICAR collaborative project with NFSM, Pulses, New Delhi. Further the screening of different chickpea germplasm to resistance to biotic & abiotic stress. Doing advance technology based research works at ICAR-NIASM, Malegaon, Pune under NICRA project entitled on “Phenotyping of pulses for enhanced tolerance to drought, heat & salinity” by using German based LemaTec facility. As an expert of multidisciplinary plant research on crop biochemistry, seed science and technology, biology, conventional plant breeding, plant physiology & plant biotechnology. I enjoy statistical data analysis and have well
developed research paper writing skills. I have had published papers in peer-reviewed national and international scientific journals & numbers of citations.
