Dr. Waseem A. Wani is working as Assistant Professor of Chemistry in J&K Higher Education Department. Currently, he is posted at Govt. Degree College Tral, Kashmir, J&K. Dr. Waseem received his M.Sc. in Chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi in 2008. For his Ph.D., he worked with Prof. Kishwar Saleem in the same university with focus on anticancer metallodrug development. During his Ph.D., Dr. Waseem was awarded Basic Scientific
Research Meritorious Juniour and Seniour Research Fellowships by University Grants
Commission, New Delhi. After Ph.D., Dr. Waseem worked as postdoctoral research fellow at UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia, Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), India, and University of Minnesota (UMN), Twin Cities Campus, Saint Paul-Minneapolis, United States of America. He has research interests in anticancer metallodrugs,nanofunctionalization of anticancer metallodrugs and natural product chemistry. Dr. Waseem has authored and co-authored more than fifty research publications (original research papers, reviews, book chapters, books, editorials and conference papers) of national and international repute. Dr.
Waseem has visited Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore as a visiting faculty, and has collaborations with researchers within India and abroad.
