About Tufan Paul

I, Mr. Tufan Paul take immense pleasure in becoming a member of Institute of Scholars (InSc). I am greatly honored to receive the Research Excellence Award 2021. I see myself as a dedicated researcher concerned with exploring structural, optical & electrical properties of all-inorganic lead halide perovskite materials and potential uses of their in opto-electronic, li-ion battery, resistive switching, nanogenerator fields. I was born and brought up in Midnapore, West Bengal,
India (famous for Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Khudiram Bose birth place) in the year 1992. I have completed my schooling from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyabhawan School, Midnapore, India. After completing higher secondary I took admission in Midnapore College (NAAC A+ grade) affiliated to the Vidyasagar University, India to pursue B.Sc. (Physics Hons.) in the year 2012. Thereafter, I became a master’s student (Physics) in the Vidyasagar University, Midnapore, India. I am also a recipient of DST-INSPIRE Scholarship from Govt. of India (2009-
2014). I have also qualified NET-2013 and NET-2014 examination with AIR-138 and AIR-128 rank respectively. Currently, I am a DST-INSPIRE senior research fellow at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in the School of Materials Science and Nanotechnology and working on the systhesis of cesium lead halide perovskite (CsPbX 3 ) nanomaterials with different shape and size from following wet-chemical route, mechanochemical, hot-injection systhesis process.
Fabrication of some energy device like photodetector, solar cell and nanogenerator. I have presented my research work in various national and international conferences at various places in India. I have published several papers in international journals of repute including ACS, RSC, Elsevier, AIP publishing house etc. I am also a lifetime member of Indian Physical Society (IPS). Recently, I got lucky enough to get awarded with the prestigious Newton-Bhabha Fellowship 2019-2020 at University of Warwick, UK under the supervision of Prof. Richard Walton.
Hopefully, I will carry out further research in the field of energy storage materials to bring out fruitful results and will be able to leave impact with my work in the scientific community and humanity, as well.
