About Dr. Mayuri Baruah
Dr. Mayuri Baruah is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Production andIndustrial Engineering,National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, Jharkhand since 2018. She obtained her B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) from Dibrugarh University, Assam, and Integrated Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam in the year 2017. Her PhD thesis title was Experimental investigation and numerical modeling of Plasma and Laser micro welding processes. Later she worked as Assistant Professor (on contract), Mechanical Engineering Department, Assam Engineering College, Assam, from 5th January 2018 to 4th June 2018. She also worked as a Temporary faculty at NIT Raipur from August to December, 2018. She also worked as a Virtual faculty for gate coaching in Mechanical Engineering at Ufaber Edutech Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai. Her major areas of research interests include Welding, Additive Manufacturing, Numerical Modeling, Python, Artificial Intelligence, Characterization and Optimization of manufacturing processes. She has published 11 papers in international journals and 10 Conferences. She is currently editing a Book “Next Generation Materials and Technologies” published in Select Proceedings in Materials by Springer. She has also published 2 book chapters. Till now, 3 research scholars are working under her guidance. 4 M. Tech projects and 12 B.Tech (Hons.) projects have been completed so far. One minor seed grand research project entitled “Thermo-Mechanical Analysis of Vibration Assisted Microplasma Welding” is running under her.
