About Dr. A. Shanmugasundharam
Myself Dr A Shanmugasundharam, now I am working as Assistant professor in the
Department of Geology, Malankara catholic college, Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu. I have done M.Sc. Applied geology, and Doctoral degree under the guidance of Prof. M Jayaprakash, in the Department of Applied geology, University of Madras. I have worked as a JRF in BARC-BRNS Funded project. My Doctoral degree entitled on “Multidimensional Geochemical Appraisal of Sarabanga sub basin, Salem district, Tamil Nadu”. During this tenure I have acquired excellent skill in the area of Hydrology, Geochemistry, Petrology, Remote sensing and GIS. My research
work is mainly focused on the Groundwater quality and Rock water interactions within the study area. I had published 10 papers in Scopus indexed journals, presented 5 papers in International/National conferences, 2 papers are communicated. I Have 3 years teaching experience in Geology and I have guided fifteen M.Sc., and M. Phil., projects.
