About Dr. Poonam Arora
Dr. Poonam Arora, MRSC, earned her Post graduate and Doctorate degree in the year 2010 and 2017, respectively, from School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard, Hamdard University, ranked as the number one pharmacy institute in country for the third consecutive year in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) India Rankings 2020, announced by the Union HRD Ministry. With a teaching, research and industrial experience of more than 15 years, In the year 2013, she has received ICMR, Senior Research fellow award, and in year 2016, was recipient of P.D.Seth’s best paper award. Dr. Poonam is currently working as Associate Professor, in Pr. L. R. College of Pharmacy, Faridabad, Haryana, India. In addition to teaching, she is actively engaged in research on herbal/natural products, guiding M.Pharm/Ph.D scholars. Her research focus involves isolation, optimization and metabolomics studies on bioactive molecules of natural origin, validating and understanding therapeutic effects of herbal drugs in asthma, cancer and other disorders of immune system at molecular and cellular levels that could open new horizons for drug development in pharmaceutical industry.. She has more than 30 research/review papers published in peer reviewed/SCI indexed journals of international and national repute, book chapters (international) to her credit. She has participated in various national and international seminars/conferences held in India and abroad. Dr. Poonam is serving as board member of reviewers of several Scholar one journals of national and international repute. She is a member of international professional bodies, including Royal society of chemistry (RSC) and International
society of Ethnopharmacology, Italy and serving as member of Editorial Board of Brazilian Journal of Natural Sciences (BJNS).
