Dr. Prasad N. Shetty, working as a research associate at department of Cardiology, KMC, Manipal and Director & Consultant at Narayana Healthcare, Koteshwara, he has finished his Ph.D. in Cardiology (2015-2019) from Kasturba Medical College, MAHE, Manipal, Karnataka, India on “Assessment of factors associated with major adverse cardiac events after undergoing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, MD in Alternative Medicine (2011-2015) from Indian Board of Medicine, IBAM academy, Kolkata, India and MSc in medical anatomy) (2008-2011) from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Karnataka, India and Bachelor in Ayurveda Medicine(2002-2008) and Surgery from SDM college, Udupi, Karnataka, India.
He has served as tutor and research scholar in department of cardiology, Kasturba Medical College, MAHE, Manipal, Karnataka, India, assistant professor in department of anatomy, Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara, Nepal, resident in department of anatomy, Kasturba Medical College, MAHE, Manipal and medical officer at Dr. A.V. Baliga Memorial Hospital, Doddannagudde, Udupi. Karnataka.
His interests in public speaking on cardiology topics, focusing on lifestyle modification in national and international levels, conducting community health checkup camps and conducting lifestyle management programme for publics.

He received best oral abstract award for research titled “Association Between Weight Loss and Anxiety / Depression one Month After Per Cutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty: A Need for Pre-discharged Counselling” during the 8th annual Conference of Manipal Cardiology Update and best oral presentation award for research titled “Impact of socio-economic status on adverse cardiac events after undergoing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty: a cohort study” during the 69th annual Conference of Cardiological Society of India on 30th to 3rd December 2017 held at Science city, Kolkata and he has received young achiever award in the field of medical science by Bunts Sanga Kondapur taluk in the year of 2019.
