About Dr. Krishnakumar T
Dr. T. Krishnakumar, received his B.E. degree in Agricultural Engineering
and the M.E degree in Agricultural Processing from Tamil Nadu
Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore in 2001 and 2003
respectively. He received international Erasmus Mundus Scholarship
from European Commission for studying Postgraduate diploma in Co-
operative Organization, Food Marketing and Rural Development and
M.S. degree in Food Science, Nutrition and Technology in Europe. He
did his course modules of curriculum in different collaborative institutes
in Ireland (UCC, Cork), France, Denmark (University of Copenhagen),
Belgium (Kaho-Sint-Lieven), Portugal (Católica Porto Business School)
and Germany (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences). He completed his
PhD Degree in Agricultural Processing & Food Engineering from Tamil
Nadu Agricultural University, India in 2015 by availing CSIR Senior
Research fellowship. He worked as Training Associate, Senior Research
Fellow and Assistant Professor before joining as Scientist in Indian
Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Govt. of India. Since 2016, he
is working as Scientist (Agricultural Process Engineering) in the division
of crop utilization, ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute
(CTCRI), Trivandrum, Kerala. His current area of research is on “Design
and Development of Pre and Post-harvest machineries and post-harvest
value addition in tuber crops”. He has published more than 20 research
papers in referred journals, 12 book chapters, 8 training manuals and 25
popular articles in addition also participated in more than 15 international
seminars/symposia/workshops. He published a book titled “Objective
questions in Food Process Engineering” and also two book chapters
in Springer.
