About Ajit Kumar
I, Ajit Kumar recently completed my Gandhi Fellowship from Piramal School of Leadership, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. Priorly, I had completed my undergrad from Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi in B.A. (H) in History after that I enrolled in Nalanda University for M.A. in History. During my post grad studies, I had learned research and writing skills.
During my undergrad studies, I was elected as a president of the department of History in my College where I organized academic talk with the scholars with the help of my friends and teachers. Plus, during my post grad I had completed an internship with Archeology Survey of India and worked with the Bihar Heritage Development Society. I made a video of Ancient Jain Temple in Rajgir and presented to the Chief Minister of Bihar, Mr. Nitish Kumar. I supported a Post Doc Fellow at Harvard University to transliterate a primary source.
My experience researching and writing my postgraduate thesis and papers like Sufism- An Epitome of Religious Heritage, Culture Creates Creativity-Madhubani Art, Khajuraho- A Place of Sacred Remembrance has helped me develop and fine-tune the skills necessary for a research. These papers selected for the publication in City University of New York, Queens College, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and Jaipur National University, Jaipur. During my Post-Graduate studies, I played an integral part in administrative support in my university, because, I enrolled there under the work and study program.
On the practical side, I have extensive experience working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint Presentation. Together with the academic knowledge I've gained over the two years of Gandhi Fellowship from Piramal School of Leadership, I worked in the education domain and made projects and reports through experiential research. My experience at Gandhi Fellowship has helped me to improve my leadership skills, hone my organizational skills and has provided me with extensive knowledge of how to find the relationship about the education among the students.
Through my previous academic projects, such as “Sangam means Confluence and Virasat Yatra means Heritage Tour”, I've learned how to manage my work in a collaborative environment. Furthermore, I understand the intricacies of the research and administration. I can maintain focus on my specific tasks with full knowledge of how they contribute to the overall research goals, no matter how ordinary and repetitive my responsibilities are.
