About Kushal Ghate

Dr. Kushal Ghate has received the undergraduate (B.Tech.) degree from the Mechanical Engineering Department of College of Engineering Pune, one of the best engineering colleges in India. Subsequently, he has worked as a Design Engineer at DMW Corporation (Mishima, Japan) for 1 year. During the job tenure, he had underwent training in different departments of Design, Research and Development and Quality check. He had also assumed the role of designing large scale pumps for oil companies based on Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS).
Later, Dr Kushal Ghate received his PhD in Mechanical (Thermal) Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). He has worked mostly independently during his PhD tenure and has an excellent publication record till now. He has published 3 first-authored paper, 3 co-authored papers and filed 1 Indian patent. He has also submitted 7 first-authored conference papers to the reputed peer-reviewed conferences organized by ILASS (Institute for Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems) and ISHMT-ASTFE (Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer- American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers) which got accepted with minor corrections. He is one of the leading young researchers to pioneer the field of cross-atomizers to be used in Gas turbine engines and other fields where controlled droplet size is required. He
also has the experience of co-supervising undergraduate students and postgraduate students at IIT Madras. He has also been invited to be a session chair for the leading at 6 th international conference of Fluid Flow, Heat and Mass Transfer (18-19 June 2019, Ottawa, Canada.
