About Dr. Rumi Debbarma
Dr. Rumi Debbarma is presently working as senior resident in the Department of Physiology, Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, India. She holds MBBS degree, and MD degree in Physiology from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, Manipur, India. A Physiologist by training, she has been involved in teaching medical students, in academics, and research field for the past six (06) years. Her areas of interest include umbilical cord blood haematology, stem cells and its application in medical sciences, cardiac Physiology, and respiratory Physiology. She has published various papers in both national and international indexed journals. She has also presented numerous oral and posters in state, national, and international conferences. Dr. Rumi Debbarma is the recipient of the WEAA India Awards Season 5th 2020 for Excellence in Health and Medical Education, and awarded 3rd prize in ‘Residents Scientific Program’ at Maulana Azad Medical College. She also awarded 2nd position of the degree of Master of Medicine in Physiology. She has been selected as a ‘Young Researcher in Physiology’ under the medical specialty (Venus International Foundation-2020).
