Dr A. Arun Prince Milton, is currently serving as a Scientist (Veterinary Public Health) in the Division of Animal Health, ICAR Research Complex for NEH region, Umiam, Meghalaya under Indian council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India. He has over 5 years’ experience in research and extension programmes related to zoonoses, food safety, swine health and hill animal husbandry. Dr. Milton has published over 40 scientific research articles in the field of zoonoses, food microbiology, epidemiology and veterinary microbiology in various peer-reviewed, indexed international and national journals. He has also presented various research papers in national and international conferences. He is a recipient of a number of awards including Mahendra Pal Zoonoses award, Sir. F.M. Burnett Memorial award, Dr. C.M. Singh Best Research Paper award etc. He has over 60 Genbank submissions. He has been involved in the implementation of 5 external funded projects as Principal Investigator (2) and Co-Investigator (3) and several institute funded projects and livelihood improvement programmes.
