About Dr. S Santhosh
I am, Dr. S. Santhosh, received under-graduation and post graduation in Physics at Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. I cleared joint CSIR-UGC NET with JRF in Physical Sciences in December 2011. Subsequently, in pursuit of research study, I joined CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, in January 2013 as a junior research fellow and registered for doctorate under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi, established by an Act of Parliament as an Institution of National Importance. My areas of Interest are (i) tuning the band gap of semiconducting thin films by introducing defects (ii) electrochromism (iii) thin films fabrication for multiple applications. In the year 2017, I cleared Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) examination for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in Tamil Nadu Government Engineering Colleges and appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Government College of Engineering- Dharmapuri on 15th May 2017. Later I got transferred to Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology, Vellore on 01st November 2018 and since then working in the same institution till date. I published three research articles in reputed peer reviewed international journals and a few more research articles are in the pipeline. I participated/presented my research findings in several conferences, workshops and discussions held across the country. A national level conference on nanophotonics, sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, conducted by Bharathidasan University, Trichy, conferred Young Researcher Award on me in the year 2016. Sri Aurobindo Society awarded me “Teacher Innovation Award” for sustainable efforts towards promoting joyful and experiential teaching in 2019.
