I, (Shamsi Akbar) Born In Bareilly (UP) INDIA In A Middle Class Family But Rich In Education. I Passed My Post-Graduation In Applied And Clinical Psychology Rohilkhand University Bareilly. Just After P.G Appointed As A Lecturer, In Khusro Degree College Bareilly. When I Provided My Services As Lecturer Meanwhile Got An Opportunity As A Clinical Psychologist Chandra Psychiatric Center Bareilly. But I Was Not Satisfied With The Stage And Was Eager For Research Work. Fate Given Smile And Department Of Geriatric Mental Health King Georg’s Medical University Approved My Synopsis For Research Work Entitled “A Study Of Psychiatry Morbidity Quality Of Life And Expectation Of Inmates Of Old Age Homes In Northern India” Where I Was Awarded The Degree Of Phd. For The Same. King Georg’s Medical University Given Me A Wide Canvas To Do Work In The Field Of Geriatric Mental Health. I Developed A Scale For Older Adults “Satisfaction And Expectation Scale For Older Adults In Old Age Homes” Which Was Introduced 1st Time In India. I Got “Best Poster Presentation” Award In Annual National Conference Of Indian Association For Geriatric Mental Health (IAGMH). I Got The “Best Research Paper Award” Among Medical Science Section K G’s Medical University Lucknow. I Got “Best Researcher Award” In The Department Of Geriatric Mental Health K.G S Medical University Lucknow. I Got “IAGMH / INTAS Award 2015” In National Conference Of Indian Association For Geriatric Mental Health (IAGMH) India And I Got Again IAGMH / INTAS Award-2016 Annual National Conference Of Indian Association For Geriatric Mental Health (IAGMH).
