About Dr. Bhawandeep

I'm Dr. Bhawandeep working as an Assistant Professor Physics at University College Jaitu, Faridkot affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab. I have finished my post-graduation in Physics from GNDU University, Amritsar, Punjab in 2008. I received my doctorate from Punjab University in 2017 in Experimental Particle physics in association with European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. CERN is one of the world's largest particle physics laboratory. During my doctorate, I was part of the team that discovered Higgs Boson in 2012. During my Ph.D, I was involved in the study and measurement of the differential crosssections of W+jets and Z+jets analysis via muon decay mode using CMS detector at LHC. The measurement was based on data collected by the CMS experiment during 2012 run at a centre-ofmass energy of 8 TeV. I have also completed my Post-doctorate in the discipline of Experimental Particle Physics in 2019 from Shoolini University, Solan with affiliation from SAHA Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata in association with CERN, GENEVA, SWITZERLAND. I'm co-author of over 643 publications in CMS Collaboration. My vision is to foster excellence in teaching, research, and learning within a systems approach to education. My goal is to provide students both a strong base of knowledge and the complementary skills needed to be successful professional in the modern world.
