About Shreyata Khurana
I am an Architect from Delhi, India. I did my schooling from DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar, Delhi with CGPA 10 in class 10th (2013) and 95.5% in class 12th (2015) and then, completed B.Arch in first division with distinction from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University For Women (Batch 2015-2020). I have recently joined MNIT, Jaipur for pursuing Masters in Urban Planning. I am very passionate about exploring new dimensions and giving my best in whatever I do as it provides me satisfaction and contentment. Achievements I have won many competitions at both inter and intra school and college levels. At the school level, I was very active in both academics and co-curricular. I got the title of Ms. Creative and Ms. Brain. I won many competitions in sports, debates, paintings, poster making, writings, etc. At the college level, I tried to pursue my interests and was the 1. Vice-Captain of Synergy, Sports Club, 2. Event Manager for Innerve and Taarangana, the technical and cultural fest, 3. Panelist for the Parliamentary Committee of BHAV, etc.I have won various competitions like 1. the Act of Green Design, 2. Autodesk Quiz, 3. MHRD SBSI Competition (worked for the upliftment of Ayanagar Village, Delhi), 4. Archumen Quiz, etc. I have always been a keen hands-on learner so was very much active for organising and attending workshops, conferences and seminars. The workshops included 1. Virtual Reality in Architecture, 2. Kaanch ki Paathshala, 3. Hands-on Brick and Bamboo by Design Jatra, 4. Laurie Baker Center, Trivandrum (Extensive hands-on training on building materials and construction techniques), 5. NASA Conventions,
6. Brick Structures, 7. GRIHA and many more. My Journey of Writing I was very inquisitive for a lot of things so had a habit of exploring every aspect of things happening around me since my childhood. When I entered college, a few electives motivated me to read more, investigate, and propose solutions to the existing problems in the society. Subjects like Seminar, Dissertation and Thesis gave me a chance to explore more about the present and the futuristic approach of various things.I was always fascinated with the Role of Technological advancements in every field. So, I started my research work on Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality and then moving on to Artificial Intelligence. I gave it a completely new outlook by amalgamating the concept of AI in Assisted Living Centers, focusing majorly on the elderly population. After this, I did my thesis on The Center For Spirituality at Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad under the guidance of Ar. Kshitij Kumar Sinha. That was when I wrote and presented my first research paper in International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Speech Technology in 2019 when I was in the final year of B.Arch. I sincerely appreciate the guidance of Ar. Preeti Chauhan and Ar. Vishal Rai who motivated me to start the journey of writing papers. I received the Best Paper Award in the International Conference on artificial Intelligence and Speech Technology that boosted up my confidence and encouraged me to work on more such papers. In February 2020, my paper entitled “Role of Artificial Intelligence in Increasing Efficiency of Assisted Living Centers for the Elderly” got published in the Scopus Indexed Journal. I have worked as an Intern Architect at CPWD (social auditing the buildings for accessibility and design) and MHRD (working with the local governing bodies to improve the infrastructure and facilities in Ayanagar Village), and have done my Professional Training under Ar. Jatinder Saigal (Examination Chairman, North India Chapter, Indian Institute of Architects and member of Council of Architecture). I have no words to explain his methods of training a budding architect. I got a chance to work on various stages of different residential, industrial and institutional buildings and had the best learning experience. As rightly said, architecture is the mother of all arts, it has helped me to explore various dimensions with a broader perspective. I would like to work in the field of research further and would definitely try to bring out some positive changes in the society.
