About Dr. Uiase Bin Farooq


Uiase Bin Farooq is a Ph.D. scholar in Division of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology at FVSc and AH, SKUAST Kashmir, India. He served as Assistant Professor (2014 -2018) under United Nations Development Project in the School of Veterinary Medicine; Hawassa, Ethiopia and has advised many students during that period. He has completed his BVSc and MVSc in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from CSKHPKV, Veterinary College Palampur, HP, India. During his MVSc he has standardized Equine abdominal ultrasonography for the first time in India on different high altitude equine breeds. He has more than four years of teaching and research experience. His areas of interest include equine ultrasonography, anaesthesiology and soft tissue surgery. He has also qualified ICAR National Eligibility Test in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology and Senior Research Fellowship exam conducted by CBSC-ICAR. He has published research papers in various national and international journals and is a member of several national organizations. He is in the editorial board of various journals. He was a member of RKVY project to strengthen veterinary clinical services through capacity building and continual professional development of veterinarian’s skill and transfer of adaptive technology to the field veterinary hospitals. He has been awarded gold medals twice for his novel work by Indian society for Veterinary Surgery. Currently he is working on Ultrasound and Peripheral nerve stimulator guided local anaesthesia.
