About Dr. Manpreet Kaur Rawal
Dr. Manpreet Kaur Rawal is presently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Microbiology, Gargi College, University of Delhi since July 2015. She believes in outcome based teaching-learning program. She attended as well as conducted various National conferences, National Seminars, National Workshop, International meeting, National symposiums, National and International webinars. She has been the speaker to National conferences.She is the member of scientific societies like, Society of Biological Chemists, India; American Society for Microbiology, USA . During her career she received various academic awards and fellowships by national academies and international educational societies like International Youth Travel Fund from FEBS, France and A Carl Storm International Diversity Fellowship by GRC, United State. She has been the part of various faculty development programmes and teacher-mentors: capacity building programme, etc Her research interest includes multi-drug resistance, bioremediation, and vitiligo. She has supervised/assisted various research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has been the reviewer of UGC listed International Science Journals like Neurological Sciences, Scientific Reports She has published 17 publications including research articles in UGC listed, Peer reviewed International Journals, chapters in edited books by Springer publication, Switzerland. One of her publication has been recognized as “Paper of the Week” and another as “Editor’s choice”. She has also authored two course books “Food and Diary Microbiology” and “Lab II – Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology and rDNA Technology, Food and Diary Microbiology”.
