About Asra Sultana
I Ms. Asra Sultana, Lecturer in Commerce with over9yrs of teaching experience always believes in ‘heart and mind’ principle by which I mean working with dedicated heart and updated knowledge, because nothing can be attained until heart is involved in aspiration. My experience has taught me, one has to explore the opportunity and reach out for it. My student teaching experience been the bestest, lively and a great learning experience overthe years. Mentoring students has always been a fantastic as I interact with young minds with fabulous ideas who taught me how to adapt change in generations. That was a worth exchange of knowledge between me and my students. Each year passed by has given unique challenges and opportunities, which helped in career progression. When I started my career as a lecturer, I was in a perception that I just have to share subject knowledge from standard text book, which was absolutely not and in reality, to my excitement, it’s much more beyond the regular teaching in classroom and even more interesting and challenging as a researcher. My quest for knowledge and to keep it upgraded, motivated me to take part in conferences, seminars, development, programmes held at International and National level. Well, it was a great learning experience to learn from eminent expertise of an industry. As a researcher, presented papers on ‘Forensic Accounting,’ ‘Demonetisation,’ GST, in accounting and finance arena. On the whole, for me teaching is an amazing learning experience.
