About Dr. Nisreen Husain
Myself, Dr.Nisreen Husain, Head, Dept. of Zoology, Government Dr. W. W Patankar Girls' PG College, Durg, C.G., is into serving for Higher Education from the last 36 years. Apart from the use of ICT techniques in the usual teaching methods for the students, i believe more in the creative participation of students in the academic activities. In this attempt, I have convened and organized the following: Workshop and Competitions on Wildlife Conservation almost every year, Awareness programs and Guest lectures on Biodiversity, Workshops on Tools and Techniques, Workshops and Assignments on Statistics and Research methodologies, Alternative of Dissections through paper and clay craft, Projects under Animal Behavior and Save Environment club activities. As a Convener of Career Guidance and Placement Cell, more than 30 Awareness programs and more than 15 Workshops have been convened and conducted. Students have been motivated to participate in Placement Camps. Self involvement of mine in Research and Book writing has helped and motivated students to gather more knowledge and opt for Research courses and projects.
