About Dr. K. N. Radhika
Dr K N Radhika, I am currently working as Associate Professor in Department of Civil Engineering at East West Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Karnataka. I completed by Ph.D. in the year 2013 from Bangalore University on the topic entitled, “An approach for groundwater development and management using geoinformatic techniques in Central part of Suvarnamukhi River basin, Karnataka” and have been actively involved in research activities for societal needs since then. I have been a fellow of various Professional bodies like Geological Society of India, Indian Society of Remote Sensing, Institute for exploring advances in Engineering etc. I have around 53 National and international conference presentations and around 15 publications in various reputed National and International Journals to my credit. Have been recognized with 13 Best Paper awards in various National and International conferences. I have edited around 2 conference proceedings and authored 3 book chapters. I have completed a research project entitled “Effects of Municipal Solid Waste Landfilling on water and soil quality in vicinity of dumpsites – a case study of Bangalore and Tumkur, Karnataka” funded by Vision Group of Science and Technology, Govt. of Karnataka in the year 2019. I have represented India in the International roundtable entitled: Impact of Extreme Natural Events: Science and Technology for Mitigation, IRENE 2017. I am currently guiding 3 students for their PhD degree. In addition, I have also been guiding both UG and PG students both for Project as well as internships. Recently, I have completed a KSCST project, entitled, “Integrated Water Resource Management of Bengaluru” in August, 2020. I have also been a part of more than 20 short- and long-term courses organized by various organizations. I have been member of various scientific discussion programs of News Media and public awareness programmes. I had been recognized as a subject expert by Govt. of Karnatka for a panel discussion on the topic entitled, “Paatalagange” in the year 2018. I have written scientific articles to various newspapers as well. I was also awarded the Young Scientist Award by Bengaluru Kannada Sahitya Parishad for my contributions in Kannada in the field of Hydrogeology and other allied sciences in the year 2019.
