About Prof. (Dr.) Anant Prasad Gupta
Prof. (Dr.) Anant Prasad Gupta did his M.A. in History from Patna University, Patna (Bihar) and PhD from BNMU, Madhepura. Prof. Gupta started his career as a Lecturer in the Department of History at GLM College, Banmankhi (BNMU). Then after that he became Reader and Professor in the same university. Prof. Gupta occupied major Administrative Positions like Controller of Examination, Athletics President, Admission Incharge, Public Relation Officer, Bursar and NSS Programme Officer, Etc in GLM College, Banmankhi. As a NSS Programme Officer he was Contigent Leader of Bihar for Pre Republic Day Parade Camp, Jamshedpur in year 2003 and Contigent Leader of Bihar and Jharkhand for Republic Day Parade Camp, New Delhi in year 2003. He had also participated in Tiranga Run at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi in year 2004. He was also Member of Syllabus Committee and Member of the Board of Examiner in BNMU, Madhepura. Prof. Gupta was also Honoured by Prasashti atra by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of BNMU, Madhepura in year 2003. Prof. Gupta successfully supervised a number of PhD Students. He had Published many Research Papers in highly reputed National and International Journals. He is member of various Professional and Academic Bodies. Such as : Life Member of Indian History Congress. Life Fellow of Indian Academy of Social Science. Life Member of Indian Society for Buddhist Studies. Life Member of Itihas Sankalan Samiti. Life Member of Centre for Gender Studies, Patna (Bihar) Member of Advisory Board – Centre for Gender Studies, Patna (Bihar)Member of the Executive Committee - Centre for Gender Studies, Patna (Bihar)Treasurer Centre for Gender Studies, Patna (Bihar), Etc. He is a refree of various National and International Journals. He had presented / delivered invited Lectures in many National Conferences and Chaired several National and International Conferences. Prof. Gupta is also member of Editorial, Advisory Board of National and International Journals. Published two books – “Bihar ki teen Mahan Vibhutian” Prachy Prakashan, Patna (Bihar) and “Prachin bharat mai dwitiya Saharikaran aur Shahri Jeevan” Janki Prakashan, Patna (Bihar).
