Role models are difficult to find but from my school time at Jaipuria ,kanpur to my almamater Bapuji Dental College, Davangere I have been blessed with inspiring personels I am grate full to many mentors in my journey Dr.and Mrs Subbarao,Dr Mahesh Verma,Dr Hari Parkash, Dr. Mahendernath Reddy , Dr Anil Kohli, Dr.Shanker Iyer and of course a lot of friends. My initial experience with scientists from various labs of - DRDO Mr Manoj (ADE) b’lore had been been very inspirational, and most important of all - my encounters with His Excellency Dr Abdul kalam during my formative years created the interest in research and the desire to Serve.Parents and spouse stretch the arrow that flies,blessed are those who have such in their lifes. Prof. Dr. Akshay Bhargava graduated from Bapuji Dental College, Davangere in 1992 and ompleted his Master’s Degree (MDS) in Prosthodontics including Crown and Bridge and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics in 1995 from the same institution. Currently he’s the DEAN for Santosh Dental College and Hospital Ghaziabad ,UP and has been a Post-Graduate teacher with 25 years of Academic and Clinical experience. He was appointed (1997) as a Scientist for the Development of Indigenous Dental Implants in Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Govt. of India. He is the President of The Indian Prosthodontic Society. Prof. Dr Bhargava has worked n various institutes in the capacity of the Dept. Head , Director, Dean for the last decade in many Dental colleges in Delhi NCR Dr. Bhargava is an Associate Fellow and Active member since 2012 of the coveted American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AFAAID) Chicago USA. A Double Diplomate from International College of Implantology (FICOI) USA and World Congress of Oral Implant ology, (WCOI) Japan (2016).He is also a Fellow International College of Dentists (FICD) USA. He is contributory author for two leading Dental Material text Books (Notes on Dental Materials, authors – V.K. Subbarao, Publishers – G. Offset, Bangalore, 1996.,Basic Dental Materials au hor – John .J. Manappallil, Publishers – Jaypee Brothers Medical Publisher (P) Ltd., 1998). He has guided more than 60-70 RESEARCH STUDIES including PROJECTS from Indian Council of Medical Research related To Zirconia, Implants, Dental Materials, Biomechanical and Structural Analysis etc.He was one of the pioneers to set up digital and 3 D printing in the country, he runs his practice in Delhi. He has to his credit more than three dozen Research and Publications and has to his credit More than 100+ Citations and 4000 Reads of his publications on Research Gate.
